The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MOEIUAE), a Strategic Government Partner for the 2nd Annual Future Sustainability Forum, happening on 4-5 December 2024 at Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai, stands at the forefront of the UAE’s journey toward sustainability and resilience. Through transformative strategies and forward-thinking initiatives, the Ministry plays a pivotal role in aligning the nation’s energy, infrastructure, and housing sectors with global sustainability goals.

Shaping a Net-Zero Future
As a leader in energy transition, the MOEIUAE unveiled the UAE Energy Strategy 2050 and the National Hydrogen Strategy in 2023, underscoring the UAE’s commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. These strategies focus on diversifying energy sources, promoting hydrogen as a sustainable carrier, and increasing the share of clean energy in the national energy mix—topics set to resonate deeply with Future Sustainability Forum discussions.

Innovating for Sustainable Infrastructure
The Ministry’s Energy Management System on Federal Roads demonstrates how innovation can lead to environmental impact. By replacing high-pressure sodium lamps with energy-efficient LEDs, the initiative reduces both energy consumption and carbon emissions—a testament to the power of sustainable infrastructure development.

Building for Tomorrow
With initiatives like the National Program for Infrastructure Development (Salamah 365) and the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, the MOEIUAE enhances community living standards while prioritizing environmental sustainability. Its AED 13 billion investment in 258 projects and plans for AED 9 billion in additional developments reinforce the Ministry’s dedication to creating resilient, future-ready infrastructure.
